Fungi of the genus Fusarium can lead to the formation of mycotoxins in cereals by attacking the ears. The most important Fusarium toxin is deoxynivalenol (DON). We offer the analysis of grain samples for DON via HPLC (high-performance liquid chromatography) and ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay). In addition to continuously checking the analysis results by measuring standards, we document the condition of the sample used for the analysis by means of high-resolution photos and automated counting of the pruinescent grains (see image for typical symptoms of Fusarium infestation). We are also happy to advise you on how to take samples or determine the number of spores in the inoculum (see pictures).
